Includes slides, diving board, portable basketball hoop, deck furniture and tables with umbrellas are provided for your convenience. Also there are locker room facilities, a concession area, and a bike rack.

Brookside Wading Pool: 1325 6th Street, (515) 239.5350

Shaded circular zero depth wading pool for children 6 and under, features two geysers and a variety of small portable toys for children to play with while in the water.
Municipal Indoor Pool: located on 20th and Ridgewood Streets (adjacent to Ames High School), (515) 232.4561
25 yard x 25 yard 8 lane pool, features a diving board and portable basketball hoop, deck furniture is available for use at the wading pool and patio tables and chairs are available on the deck of the indoor pool. There are also locker room facilities, concession area, and a bike rack available for your use.

Ada Hayden Heritage Park: 5205 Grand Avenue

Includes passive recreation features such as fishing docks, a ramp for non-motorized boats, three miles of hard surface pathway, two miles of crushed-rock paths, a restroom, parking lot and a pedestrian bridge.
Brookside Park: 1325 6th Street
Includes acres of timberland adjacent to Squaw Creek, a wading pool, lighted baseball diamond, 3 picnic shelters, 1 sand volleyball court, Audubon Trail, play equipment, basketball court, 9 horseshoe courts, and 4 lighted tennis courts.

Inis Grove Park: 24th and Duff

Includes a basketball court, tennis practice board and 4 lighted courts, 1 sand volleyball court, 3 picnic shelters, nature trails, and play equipment.
Emma McCarthy Lee Park: 3400 Ross Road
Includes two play equipment areas, 4 lighted tennis courts, 1 sand volleyball court, basketball court, and 2 shelters.
Moore Memorial Park: 3050 Northridge Parkway
Includes 2 shelters, observation tower, 1.3 acre lake, 1.5 mile hard-surfaced walkway, play equipment, restrooms, and prairie restoration.
River Valley Park: 725 E. 13th Street
Includes ball fields, 2 picnic shelters, and 1 sand volleyball court. Park your vehicle in the Carr Pool parking lot, cross the bridge into East River Valley Park and hike the 2.5 miles of nature trails.
South River Valley Park: 1200 East 13th Street
Includes play equipment and 2 lighted softball diamonds.

Neighborhood Parks:

Bandshell Park: 125 E. 5th Street
Acquired in 1892, is the location for summer band concerts on Thursday evenings in June and July.
Country Gables Park: 500 Crystal Street
Passive and active play areas, and natural wildlife habitat area.
14th and Duff Avenue Park: 1335 Duff Avenue
Includes play equipment and a basketball court.
Franklin Park: South Franklin Avenue
Includes a basketball court and play equipment.
Daley Park & Greenbelt: 340 Wilder Boulevard
Includes play equipment and the shelter can serve small or large groups (up to 100) Restroom, electricity, and water are provided within this facility.
Hutchinson Park: 4517 Hutchinson Street
Includes play equipment, basketball court, and picnic area.
