Local Testimonial -

Lora treated us very well before, during, and after our home purchase. Though she had other clients, we felt like we were her primary concern. She catered to our schedule and never hesitated to go the extra mile. The path toward a first-time home purchase is never easy, but she made every effort to assist us in understanding the process. She made a complex and stressful situation manageable. We never questioned her ability to get us a great home for our growing family. Communication and availability is a must-have quality in a realtor and she never left us wondering. Every email was answered quickly and every call was returned. After the sale, we were treated like family. From the care package on move in day to the housewarming gift a month later, she never forgot about us. We will definitely call Lora for any of our future real estate needs.

Whether you're looking for a great place to raise a family, a place to begin a career or simply a place to enjoy your retirement, Boone, Iowa is a great place to start your real estate search!

The city of Boone is the seat of Boone County, laid out in March of 1865. Originally named Montana, it was eventually changed to Boone in 1871. A city with a little over 12,000 residents is known for many things, but one of its main attractions is the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad. Boone, often referred to as “The Railroad Capital of Iowa” has had trains traveling through since the 1800s. Located between Boone and Ogden is the Bass Point Creek High Bridge, rising 156 feet, it is the highest steel interurban railroad bridge in the United States.

Boone real estate is a great investment because there's plenty to keep you, your family and guests who come to visit busy.  Whether you need entertainment for the day or to fill a whole  week, there is always something to see. From the historical attractions to the fast paced auto racing at the Boone Speedway, the relaxing sounds of the Boone Municipal Band or a fun-filled weekend at the annual Pufferbilly Days Festival in September.

Boone and Boone County have a wide variety of attractions and activities for all ages. You can ride the train at the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad, spend a hot afternoon at Boone Municipal Pool, tour Mamie Doud Eisenhower’s Birthplace, or visit McHose Park, Ledges State Park or one of the many other city or county parks.

And some of Boone County's attractions are geared for any season of the year. The trees at the
Iowa Arboretum are a gorgeous display year round; ski and tube in the winter or rent a canoe in the summer at Seven Oaks. The beauty of the Des Moines River Valley makes the perfect back drop for the longest and highest steel double track railroad bridge in the world – the Kate Shelley Memorial High Bridge. Take the time to relax while fishing, whether it be in the Des Moines River, while sitting on a bucket on one of the many frozen ponds in the winter, or at Don Williams where you can camp or rent a cabin by the lake.

Boone and Boone County have the entertainment covered!  The Realtors of EXIT Realty Lora & Company can assist you in finding a great house for sale in Boone, help you navigate the real estate process and congratulate you at closing when that house becomes your home.
